The door of this Feminine-Mystery is the original source of heaven and earth.

Whether it is the birth of matter or whether it is the birth of consciousness; whether the earth is born or heaven, everything is born through the mystery that lies hidden in the depths of Existence. Therefore I have said that those who have looked upon God as mother -- as Durga or Amba -- their understanding is much deeper than those who look upon Him as Father. If God exists anywhere, He is feminine, for man does not have the ability and the patience to give birth to such a vast Universe. That which gives birth to the myriads of stars and moons must have a womb, without which it is impossible. – 

Have you ever seen the image of Kali? She is the mother, She is terrible! In one hand she holds a human skull! She is the mother -- Her eyes are filled with the ocean of tenderness. Down below -- She stands on the chest of someone! Someone lies crushed under Her feet! Why? Because that which creates, destroys also. Destruction is the other part of creation. Those were wonderful people who conceived this image. They were people with great imagination who could visualise great possibilities. They have erected the image of Mother standing on a dead body! In her hands she holds the head of a dead man, dripping blood. Round her neck she wears a necklace of skulls but She has the eyes of the Mother, the Heart of the Mother from where the milk flows -- and yet, the necklace of skulls!

Actually, the Annihilation of the Universe starts from the very place where creation starts. The circle completes at the same point. Therefore the mother gives birth but when she becomes terrible she can also give death. When a woman becomes terrible she becomes extremely dangerous. She has a great store of energy. The energy is the same whether it creates or destroys.

The imagination of those who conceived of the Mother as an embodiment both of creation and destruction was a very far-sighted imagination but together with this it was very deep and very near Truth.

 இந்த பெண்மை-மர்மத்தின் கதவுதான் சொர்க்கம் மற்றும் பூமியின் அசல் ஆதாரம்.

 அது பொருளின் பிறப்பாக இருந்தாலும் சரி, உணர்வின் பிறப்பாக இருந்தாலும் சரி;  பூமி பிறந்தாலும் சரி, சொர்க்கமாக இருந்தாலும் சரி, எல்லாமே இருத்தலின் ஆழத்தில் மறைந்திருக்கும் மர்மத்தின் மூலம் பிறக்கிறது.  ஆகவே, கடவுளை தாயாக - துர்க்கையாகவோ அல்லது அம்பாவாகவோ பார்த்தவர்களின் புரிதல் அவரை தந்தையாகப் பார்ப்பவர்களை விட மிகவும் ஆழமானது என்று நான் சொன்னேன்.  கடவுள் எங்கும் இருக்கிறார் என்றால், அவர் பெண்பால் இருக்கிறார், ஏனென்றால் மனிதனுக்கு இவ்வளவு பெரிய பிரபஞ்சத்தைப் பிறப்பிக்கும் திறனும் பொறுமையும் இல்லை.  எண்ணற்ற நட்சத்திரங்கள் மற்றும் சந்திரன்களைப் பெற்றெடுப்பதற்கு ஒரு கருப்பை இருக்க வேண்டும், அது இல்லாமல் அது சாத்தியமற்றது.  –

 காளியின் உருவத்தைப் பார்த்ததுண்டா?  அவள் தாய், அவள் பயங்கரமானவள்!  ஒரு கையில் மனித மண்டை ஓட்டை வைத்திருக்கிறாள்!  அவள் தாய் -- அவள் கண்கள் மென்மையின் கடலால் நிறைந்துள்ளன.  கீழே -- அவள் யாரோ ஒருவரின் மார்பில் நிற்கிறாள்!  அவள் காலடியில் யாரோ நசுங்கி கிடக்கிறார்கள்!  ஏன்?  ஏனெனில் எது உருவாக்குகிறதோ அதுவும் அழிக்கிறது.  அழிவு என்பது படைப்பின் மற்ற பகுதி.  இந்த உருவத்தை உருவாக்கிய அற்புதமான மனிதர்கள்.  அவர்கள் சிறந்த சாத்தியக்கூறுகளைக் காட்சிப்படுத்தக்கூடிய சிறந்த கற்பனைத் திறன் கொண்டவர்கள்.  அன்னை இறந்த நிலையில் நிற்கும் உருவத்தை அமைத்துள்ளனர்!  அவள் கைகளில் ஒரு இறந்த மனிதனின் தலையை வைத்திருக்கிறாள், இரத்தம் சொட்டுகிறது.  அவள் கழுத்தில் மண்டை ஓடுகளை அணிந்திருக்கிறாள், ஆனால் அவளுக்கு அன்னையின் கண்கள் உள்ளன, அம்மாவின் இதயம், அங்கு இருந்து பால் பாய்கிறது - இன்னும், மண்டை ஓட்டின் கழுத்து!

 உண்மையில், பிரபஞ்சத்தின் அழிவு படைப்பு தொடங்கும் இடத்திலிருந்தே தொடங்குகிறது.  வட்டம் அதே புள்ளியில் முடிவடைகிறது.  எனவே தாய் பெற்றெடுக்கிறாள் ஆனால் அவள் பயங்கரமாக மாறும்போது அவளால் மரணத்தையும் கொடுக்க முடியும்.  ஒரு பெண் பயங்கரமாக மாறும்போது அவள் மிகவும் ஆபத்தானவள்.  அவளுக்கு ஒரு பெரிய ஆற்றல் சேமிப்பு உள்ளது.  படைத்தாலும் அழித்தாலும் ஆற்றல் ஒன்றுதான்.

 உருவாக்கம் மற்றும் அழிவு இரண்டின் உருவகமாக அன்னையை கருத்தரித்தவர்களின் கற்பனை மிகவும் தொலைநோக்கு கற்பனையாக இருந்தது, ஆனால் இதனுடன் அது மிகவும் ஆழமானது மற்றும் உண்மைக்கு அருகில் இருந்தது.
