[4/10, 2:15 PM] Jagadeesh ChandraKrishnan: ஒருமுறை ரயிலில் பயணம் செய்ய வேண்டி இருந்தது. நான் பெட்டியில் ஏறினேன் என்னை வழியனுப்ப நிறைய பேர் வந்து இருந்தார்கள்.

நான் ஏறிய பெட்டியில் இருந்த ஒரு மனிதர் உடனடியாக என் காலைத் தொட்டுக் கும்பிட்டு நீங்கள் பெரியசுவாமி ஆக இருக்கவேண்டும் ஏராளமானவர்கள் உங்களை வழியனுப்ப வந்திருக்கிறார்களே என்றார்.

அவர் ஒரு பிராமணர்.

நான் சொன்னேன், நான் ஒரு முகமதியன். நான் ஒரு பெரிய சாமியாராக இருக்கலாம் ஆனால் நான் முகமதியன் என்றேன்.

அவருக்கு வியர்த்துக் கொட்ட ஆரம்பித்தது அவர் அமைதி இழந்தார். மறுபடியும் என்னை பார்த்து சொன்னார் இல்லை நீங்கள் விளையாட்டுக்கு சொல்கிறீர்கள் என்றார்.

நான் ஏன் உன்னிடம் விளையாட வேண்டும் என் காலைத் தொட்டுக் கும்பிடும் முன்பே நீ விசாரித்திருக்க வேண்டும் அல்லவா என்றேன்.

அவர் ஒரு பார்ப்பனர் என்பதால் ஒரு முகமதியர் ஆன என்னை தொட்டதின் மூலம் அவர் அசுத்தமாகி தீட்டுப் பட்டு விட்டதாக நினைத்து உடனடியாக ஒரு குளியல் போட வேண்டும் என்று நினைத்திருப்பார்.

அவருக்கு என்ன நடந்தது. இது மனதின் முன்முடிவு என்னும் தவறான அறிவு.

முன்முடிவு என்னும் தவறான மனத்தை நீங்கள் பெற்றிருக்கிறீர்கள்.

எல்லா யூதர்களும் கெட்டவர்கள் அல்ல. எல்லா கிறித்தவர்களும் நல்லவர்களும் அல்ல.

எல்லா முஸ்லிம்களும் மோசமானவர்கள் அல்ல. அப்படியே இந்துக்கள் யாவரும் யோக்கியர்களும் அல்ல.

உண்மையில் நற்குணமும் தீய குணமும் எந்தவொரு இனத்திற்கும் ஒட்டுமொத்தமாய் சொந்தமானதல்ல.

அது தனி மனிதருக்கு சொந்தமானது.

ஆனால் நீங்கள் மனதால் முன்முடிவு கொள்கிறீர்கள்.

தவறான அறிவைக் கொண்டு எடுக்கப்படும் இந்த முன்முடிவுகளை பதஞ்சலி 'விபர்யய' என்கிறார்.

நீங்கள் பார்க்கும் ஒன்றை, உண்மையை நேரடியாக பாருங்கள்.அங்கே இருப்பதை வெறுமனே காணுங்கள். உங்கள் அபிப்பிராயத்தை கொண்டு வராதீர்கள்.

ரோஜா அழகானது என்று ஏற்கனவே தீர்மானிக்கப்பட்டு இருக்கிறது. அது உங்களிடம் சொல்லப்பட்டிருக்கிறது.

நீங்கள் ஒரு ரோஜாவை பார்க்கும் பொழுதே அது அழகானது என்று முடிவு செய்து விடுகிறீர்கள்.

சிலர் அதை தொட்டு கூட பார்த்திருக்க மாட்டார்கள் ஆனால் அழகானது என்று முடிவு செய்து விடுவார்கள். இது திணிக்கப்பட்டது. இது ஒரு முன்முடிவு.

ரோஜா அழகானதுதான் ஆனால் உங்களிடம் ஏற்கனவே கிடைக்கப் பெற்ற அறிவைக் கொண்டு அதை பார்க்காதீர்கள். இப்பொழுது புதிதாக பாருங்கள்.

முன் முடிவு கொண்டு பார்க்கப்படும் பொழுது அழகான ரோஜாவும் அழகற்றது ஆகிவிடுகிறது.

ஒரு ரோஜாவின் அழகை நீங்கள் இப்பொழுது நேரடியாக உணரும் பொழுது அது இன்னும் அழகாகி விடுகிறது.

குழந்தைகளைப் பாருங்கள் அவர்கள் அவ்வளவு அற்புதமானவர்கள். அவர்கள் எதையும் புதிதாக பார்கிறார்கள். யாருடைய அறிவையும் கொண்டு பார்ப்பதில்லை. அவர்களிடம் எந்த முன் முடிவும் இல்லை.

புத்தர் அதைத்தான் 'சரியான பார்வை' என்கிறார்.

அந்த சரியான, முழுமையான பார்வையை கொண்டு பார்க்கும்போது அந்த பிராமணரை போல் நீங்கள் எங்குமே ஏமாறப்போவதில்லை.

பதஞ்சலி சொல்கிறார் இந்த சரியான பார்வையை நீங்கள் பெறும் போது நீங்கள் மனதின் 'விபர்யய' வை கடக்கிறீர்கள்.

 A man in the box I was in immediately touched my leg and bowed and said that you must be Periyaswamy.

 He is a Brahmin.

 I said, I am a Mohammedan.  I may be a great preacher but I was a Mohammedan.

 He began to sweat and he lost his composure.  He looked at me again and said no you are telling the game.

 I wondered why I should have played with you before you touched my leg and nodded.

 Since he was a barbarian he would have thought that he should have taken a bath immediately thinking that he had become dirty by touching me who had become a Mohammedan.

 What happened to him.  This is the misconception that the mind is preconceived.

 You have got the wrong mindset of preconception.

 Not all Jews are bad.  Not all Christians are good.

 Not all Muslims are bad.  Similarly, not all Hindus are yogis.

 In fact good and evil do not belong to any race as a whole.

 It belongs to the individual.

 But you make up your mind.

 Patanjali calls these preconceived notions 'viparyaya'.

 What you see, look directly at the truth. Simply look at what is there.  Do not bring up your opinion.

 It has already been determined that the rose is beautiful.  It has been told to you.

 When you see a rose you decide that it is beautiful.

 Some people may not have even touched it but decide it is beautiful.  It was imposed.  This is a precedent.

 The rose is beautiful but do not look at it with the knowledge you already have available.  Look fresh now.

 The beautiful rose also becomes geeky when viewed from the front end.

 When you feel the beauty of a rose directly now it becomes even more beautiful.

 Look at the kids they are so wonderful.  They see anything new.  Do not look with anyone's knowledge.  They have no preconceived notions.

 That is what the Buddha calls 'perfect vision'.

 You will not be disappointed anywhere like that Brahmin when you come up with that perfect, holistic view.

 Patanjali says When you get this right vision you are crossing the ‘transcendence’ of the mind.
