Who are Aghoris? Being in India, we most often come across them in streets, temples etc but how often do we make an effort to know who they really are? Aghoris are sadhus belonging to an unconventional clan who are Shiva worshippers. While some believe that they have divine powers and others think they are sadhus with black magic which can harm people. But undoubtedly they have a mystical personality.

GHOR means scary. AGHOR means beautiful.

The teachings of Shiva or the message of Divine is beautiful, So Shiva is definitely beautiful or Aghori.

Aghoris are seen to be mostly naked and accepting of their bodies. You can see Aghori in completely naked bodies covered in ashes from the dead bodies. It definitely scares some people while some people find it enticing.

Aghoris let their hair grow long and believe in no haircuts. After all, that is how we were born and what better way to accept our natural self. You will never see Aghori in short, trimmed hair.

For them Shiva is Everything . Aghoris immerse themselves in the devotion of Lord Shiva. They believe that Lord Shiva is the answer to everything as he is omnipresent and absolute. They perform penance, which is of three kinds that are called Shiva Sadhana, Shav Sadhana, and Smashaan Sadhana.

They have NO HATE IN HEART . These sadhus share their food with the animals in the cremation ground. Be it a cow or a dog, every life is the same for them. And they believe the person who hates cannot truly meditate.

These sadhus survive the harshest and extreme weather conditions. They are known to live in the scariest jungles and also the snow clad mountains. They are also found in the hot desert, in conditions where a normal human being doesn’t survive well.

Aghoris are known to perform black magic but not to harm anyone or anything but they say that it heals them and increases their supernatural powers to talk to the dead. They perform a lot of rituals, strange in the eye of a common man to perform dark magic.

 அகோரிஸ் யார்?  இந்தியாவில் இருப்பதால், வீதிகள், கோயில்கள் போன்றவற்றில் நாம் அடிக்கடி வருகிறோம், ஆனால் அவர்கள் உண்மையில் யார் என்பதை அறிய எத்தனை முறை முயற்சி செய்கிறோம்?  அகோரிகள் சிவன் வழிபாட்டாளர்களான வழக்கத்திற்கு மாறான குலத்தைச் சேர்ந்த சாதுக்கள்.  சிலர் தங்களுக்கு தெய்வீக சக்திகள் இருப்பதாக நம்புகிறார்கள், மற்றவர்கள் அவர்கள் சூனியக்காரர்கள் என்று நினைக்கிறார்கள், இது மக்களுக்கு தீங்கு விளைவிக்கும்.  ஆனால் சந்தேகத்திற்கு இடமின்றி அவர்கள் ஒரு மாய ஆளுமை கொண்டவர்கள்.

 அகோரிஸ் அவர்களின் தலைமுடி நீளமாக வளரட்டும், முடி வெட்டுவதை நம்ப மாட்டார்கள்.  எல்லாவற்றிற்கும் மேலாக, நாங்கள் அப்படித்தான் பிறந்தோம், நம்முடைய இயல்பான சுயத்தை ஏற்றுக்கொள்வதற்கான சிறந்த வழி என்ன.  சுருக்கமான, வெட்டப்பட்ட கூந்தலில் அகோரியை நீங்கள் ஒருபோதும் பார்க்க மாட்டீர்கள்.

 அவர்களுக்கு சிவன் எல்லாம்.  அகோரிகள் சிவபெருமானின் பக்தியில் மூழ்கி விடுகிறார்கள்.  சிவன் சர்வவல்லமையுள்ளவர், முழுமையானவர் என்பதால் எல்லாவற்றிற்கும் பதில் என்று அவர்கள் நம்புகிறார்கள்.  அவர்கள் தவம் செய்கிறார்கள், இது சிவ சாதனா, ஷாவ் சாதனா, மற்றும் ஸ்மாஷான் சாதனா என்று அழைக்கப்படும் மூன்று வகையாகும்.

 அவர்களுக்கு இதயத்தில் வெறுப்பு இல்லை.  இந்த சாதுக்கள் தகன மைதானத்தில் உள்ள விலங்குகளுடன் தங்கள் உணவைப் பகிர்ந்து கொள்கிறார்கள்.  அது ஒரு மாடு அல்லது நாயாக இருந்தாலும், ஒவ்வொரு வாழ்க்கையும் அவர்களுக்கு ஒன்றுதான்.  வெறுப்பவர் உண்மையிலேயே தியானிக்க முடியாது என்று அவர்கள் நம்புகிறார்கள்.

 இந்த சாதுக்கள் கடுமையான மற்றும் தீவிரமான வானிலை நிலைகளில் இருந்து தப்பிக்கின்றனர்.  அவர்கள் பயங்கரமான காடுகளிலும் பனி மூடிய மலைகளிலும் வாழத் தெரிந்தவர்கள்.  வெப்பமான பாலைவனத்திலும் அவை காணப்படுகின்றன, ஒரு சாதாரண மனிதர் நன்றாக வாழ முடியாது.

 அகோரிஸ் சூனியம் செய்வதாக அறியப்படுகிறார், ஆனால் யாருக்கும் அல்லது எதற்கும் தீங்கு விளைவிப்பதில்லை, ஆனால் அது அவர்களை குணமாக்குகிறது என்றும் இறந்தவர்களுடன் பேச அவர்களின் அமானுஷ்ய சக்திகளை அதிகரிக்கிறது என்றும் அவர்கள் கூறுகிறார்கள்.  அவர்கள் நிறைய சடங்குகளை செய்கிறார்கள், இருண்ட மந்திரம் செய்ய ஒரு சாதாரண மனிதனின் பார்வையில் விசித்திரமானவர்கள்.
